Tammy Abraham is targeting more standing ovations after leaving his new team-mates wanting more following his introduction to the Swans.

Abraham arrived shortly after the Swans squad touched down at their new base in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday evening.

The striker, who signed on loan from Chelsea almost a fortnight ago, participated in his first training session with Paul Clement’s squad just hours after landing.

Then he was under the spotlight on their return as he faced the club’s signing initiation tradition.

And he responded with a superb rendition of Boyz II Men classic “End Of The Road”, which drew a standing ovation from his team-mates.

Now the 19-year-old is hoping for yet more plaudits as he prepares for a first full season of Premier League action.

“To finally be here is amazing,” said Abraham. “It’s a feeling I can’t really describe. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to hit the ground running.

“I did well at Bristol City last season, and I really want to do well for Swansea.

“I’ve watched Swansea over the last few years with different players coming and going.

“I’ve grown up watching some of the players – Olsson, Fer and Sigurdsson are players I’ve been really interested in - and it’s crazy actually being here and playing with them. I want to show them what I am made of.”

He added: “I must have done something right in my initiation as the boys loved it.

“I was nervous – as soon as I got in I could them tapping the glass! But it’s a good icebreaker.

“They liked my signing, but more importantly I want to impress them on the pitch!”
