Safeguarding
Safeguarding Commitment
Swansea City Association Football Club Limited (the “Club”) is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk.
The Club acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child, young person and adult at risk who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment.
Everyone has the right to protection from neglect, physical, emotional, sexual and any other form of abuse. Safeguarding is everyone’s business and all staff have a responsibility for safeguarding and reporting concerns.
The Club is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for children and adults and one way we do this is through vetted, trained and competent personnel. staff working with children or adults and their managers in regulated activity have enhanced DBS (criminal records checks) screening, appropriate qualifications, first aid and safeguarding training.
The Club has a designated person, the Head of Safeguarding, who is the lead for vulnerable groups and has overall responsibility for our safeguarding provision across the Club. You can contact them on safeguarding@swanseacity.com
The Club operates a wide range of activities – such as the Academy, the Trust and matchdays – which involve people from the community and include some of the most vulnerable in society. Therefore, the Club requires comprehensive safeguarding policies for children and adults at risk.
The Club has these policies and procedures in place to address any concerns raised in respect of the welfare and safety of children or adults, along with other processes such as whistleblowing and feedback mechanisms.
