Walsh signs with Swans academy

The 16-year-old winger arrives from Republic of Ireland side Finn Harps following a successful trial earlier in the year.

The first-year scholar has signed a three-year deal with the Swans and will link up with the under-18s squad as they prepare for the start of the 2017/18 campaign in Premier League South.

“I am looking forward to getting started,” said Walsh.

“It is a massive opportunity for me and will be a good experience.

“I gained a lot from my time with Finn Harps. Now I am looking forward to playing against some of the big clubs the Premier League academy system offers.

“I have not had those experiences before, so it will be a big challenge for me, but it's one I am looking forward to.”
