Tammy Abraham revealed his delight after marking his Swansea City debut with a winning goal.

The 19-year-old loanee came off the bench to net the winner against USL side Richmond Kickers in their pre-season tour friendly in Virginia on Wednesday.

Abraham took just 20 minutes to make his mark in front of just over 8,000 fans as he headed home Martin Olsson’s cross from point-blank range to give the Swans a 2-1 victory at the City Stadium.

“I am delighted to get my first goal,” he said.

“I wanted to make an instant impact when I came on. Luckily I got the goal and helped the team get the victory.

“My aim is to get these goals when the Premier League season starts. I want to show the team and gaffer that I am willing to work hard, score goals and help the team as much as I can.”
