Hi everyone,
Welcome to the first competitive home fixture of the 2025-26 season as we face Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup.
It feels like the summer has passed in the blink of an eye but it has been a period of sustained progress off the pitch. We have been working to build a squad that it is able to compete in what is an extremely competitive league this season.
Off the pitch there has also been a large amount of change, all with a view to driving the club forward and improving the experience for supporters. Most notably, we were delighted to welcome Snoop Dogg to our investment group. His involvement in the club will undoubtably provide us with new opportunities to improve on and off the pitch, so we are delighted to have him on board.
This competition is one that I am sure will bring back great memories for you all from our famous 2013 triumph. That campaign included a third-round away win against today's opponents Crawley Town. Letâs hope that is a positive omen for this season's campaign.
Strangely, this is the third time in seven years that a club that I have been working for has drawn Crawley in the first round of the League Cup, so it is a fixture that I know well and hopefully we have a positive performance and result.
Thank you for all of your support.

Tom Gorringe
CEO, Swansea City

Good evening and welcome to the Swansea.com Stadium for our first home fixture of the new season against Crawley Town.
It is great to be back on home turf and in front of our home support. We enjoyed some excellent performances and results here over the closing stages of last season, and we know having that sense of togetherness and connection between the team and you, our supporters, has an important role to play in the months ahead.
We were obviously disappointed to lose at Middlesbrough at the weekend. There was very little between the two sides on the day, defences were on top and we largely cancelled each other out.
In those situations you want to make sure you are coming away with a point, so it was frustrating to concede from a set-piece.
After we conceded we didnât really create anything of note, whereas in the first half we had got ourselves into some promising situations without having the quality in our final ball.
So we head into this game knowing we have areas we need to improve on, we have debriefed the Middlesbrough game and we know this is a different test and a different sort of challenge.
But every game is a chance for us to improve our performances and continue to evolve, and this will be no different.
Enjoy the game,
Alan

Alan Sheehan,
First Team Head Coach

Well, another summer is flying by and we find ourselves playing our first competitive home game of the season in this Carabao Cup fixture against Crawley Town.
It could be argued that it is way too early for the football season to be starting as many supporters will be away on their holidays, or are perhaps waiting until our first home Championship game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Whatever our feelings about the summer break seemingly becoming shorter each year, itâs pleasing to see that the club has been quietly going about its business in the transfer market with what appear to be some very astute signings. We welcome them all to the club and we hope they soon feel at home as our new YJBs.
There is, of course, still some time to go before the summer transfer window closes and Iâm sure we will see more movements as the clock ticks down.
Ultimately it will be down to Richard Montague, the recruitment team and head coach Alan Sheehan to get a squad together that can be competitive in this increasingly challenging Championship.
Personally, Iâm looking forward to the coming season more than many over the past few years, but equally recognise the first few games are going to be a tough prospect. And, while itâs easy to get caught up in early season ups and downs where our new players are still settling in, Iâll stick to my principle of reserving judgement of how we are performing until weâve got through the first 10 games or so.
As well as new faces on the pitch, your Supportersâ Trust welcomed our youngest board member Teo Angheben for the coming season, which was great to see. We are also in the process of finalising the appointments of some co-opted and affiliate roles to help us cover some other areas, and Iâm sure they will be an asset to the board and the Trust as a whole, just like those who have recently decided to step away, to whom Iâd like to say a huge personal thanks for their hard work and commitment over the last few years.
Over the next few weeks, the Trust board will be organising its schedule of work for the coming months and weâll soon update our website for you to learn a little more about us all. Weâve also just put out a consultation presentation to our members with our proposed Trust Strategy for the next few years, and if anyone would like to see a copy with an accompanying online link for responses just email us at info@swanstrust.co.uk.
Can I also thank our Trust members who have already renewed their memberships this season. It takes just a few minutes to do so on our online system here: https://www.swanstrust.co.uk/join-the-trust/.
Members and supporters can still renew or join by post, or by visiting the Trust kiosk before kick-off at every home match, and we still accept payments by cash, card and cheque. We are an inclusive society and every member of the Jack Army is very welcome and encouraged to join the Supportersâ Trust.
We are also printing team sheets from the kiosk again for supporters to collect one hour before KO with all your donations up until Christmas again going to the Faith in Families charity that does amazing work in and around Swansea.
By joining the Trust, you have an instant pathway to a voice in the running of our club and can be involved in some of the exciting initiatives that are lined up for the rest of the Trust calendar. Again, look out for updates throughout the season, or come and have a chat with us at the kiosk or our other events to find out more.
Can I also take this opportunity to encourage our members and supporters once again to join the excellent Swansea City Disabled Supportersâ Association (DSA) for the 2025-26 season. You donât have to have a disability to become a member of the DSA, but by joining you are supporting the Association in their aim to provide an inclusive environment for all Swansea City supporters.
As always, if you have any questions, please donât hesitate to reach out to us via info@swanstrust.co.uk and one of our Trust Board will respond to your query.
Last but not least, a warm welcome to the diehard Crawley supporters who will be making the almost 450-mile round trip to this eveningâs game.
The last time we encountered Crawley was back in 2012 on our way to winning the Carabao Cup final a few months later. Those heady days all feel a very long time ago but we can but dream of another cup run starting with a victory tonight over the other âRed Devilsâ.
Croeso nĂ´l. And enjoy the game.
Dave

The âSwans Big Sleep Outâ will return to the Swansea.com Stadium this November as Swansea City AFC Foundation and Matthewâs House partner up to raise awareness of homelessness.
This yearâs event will take place on Friday November 14, almost exactly one year on from last yearâs âSwans Big Sleep Outâ, which raised over ÂŁ36,000.
Sleeping out for one night is no comparison to the realities of homelessness, but it does give participants a better understanding of what some people are dealing with on a regular basis.
The Foundation is inviting individuals and businesses to sign up to spend the night at the Swansea.com Stadium and raise crucial funds for Matthewâs House and Swansea City AFC Foundation, with both charities working to tackle homelessness head on.
âThis event isnât just about one night, itâs about standing together to say 'we care'," said Thom Lynch, Mathew's House project leader.
"The 'Swans Big Sleep Out' helps us keep doing what we do at Matthewâs House: providing support, food, and hope to people who need it most.
"Doing that alongside the club and Foundation, in the middle of our city, shows the kind of community we are â one that turns up when it counts.
âFor the people we support, hope can feel a million miles away. But nights like this bring it closer.
The funds raised for the 'Swans Big Sleep Out' will also contribute towards giving 10 young people the opportunity of a lifetime; with the Swans Foundation representing Wales at the upcoming Street Child United World Cup in 2026.
âThis will be a once in a lifetime experience for 10 street-connected young people from local communities across Swansea, many of whom have never left the county, let alone represented their country overseas,â said Beth Robinson, targeted interventions manager at Swansea City AFC Foundation.
âFunds raised from the Sleep Out will help us to shine a spotlight on children living in street situations, the adversities they face and the fundamental rights they lack.â
âThe Big Sleep Out isnât just about raising money, itâs about standing in the gap, showing up when itâs uncomfortable, and saying with our actions that no one should face life alone.
âEvery pound raised helps us offer dignity, warmth, and a welcome to someone who needs it. Thatâs what this is about.â
You can also support the project without taking part in the sleep out by clicking the button HERE to donate, should you wish to do so, below.

First formed in 1896, Crawley Town first reached the Football League in 2011.
They briefly disbanded in 1935 but were quickly reformed. Crawley featured in the West Sussex League, Mid-Sussex League, Brighton Hove and District League, the Sussex County League, the Metropolitan League and the Southern League before reaching National League level in 2004.
Steve Evans led them to the EFL in 2011, and they were promoted to League One the season after.
They were relegated to League Two in 2015 and spent nine years in the fourth tier before returning to League One last term, only to suffer relegation.

Fifty-three-year-old Scott Lindsey is back in charge of Crawley for the second time, having been reappointed in March 2025.
A former midfielder, Lindsey enjoyed a long playing career, featuring for Goole Town, Stafford Rangers, Burton Albion, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Bridlington Town, Gillingham, Dover Athletic, Sittingbourne, Canvey Island, Gravesend & Northfleet, Welling United, Folkstone Invicta and Maidstone United.
He moved into coaching with Gillingham and Lincoln City, having a stint in caretaker charge of the latter, before moving to work in Swindon Townâs academy.
Lindsey went on to work with Forest Green Rovers and Chatham Town, before returning to the Robins as assistant manager and then becoming manager when Ben Garner left for Charlton Athletic.
He left Swindon with the Robins performing strongly to take over at relegation-threatened Crawley and managed to keep them up before leading them to play-off success the following year in 2024.
Lindsey made the switch to MK Dons later that year, but was soon back at the Broadfield Stadium, although he was unable to keep Crawley in the third tier.

Former Fulham and Chelsea academy defender Dion Conroy is entering his fourth season with Crawley, having first joined the Red Devils in 2022.
Conroy spent eight years on the books at Chelsea, winning an FA Youth Cup and Premier League 2 winnersâ medals during his time at Stamford Bridge.
He had a six-month loan spell at Aldershot Town before signing for Swindon Town in January 2017.
Conroy spent five years at the County Ground, and was handed his first start by former Swans boss Luke Williams.
He went on to make more than 100 league appearances, having also spent a significant period of time on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
He was released at the end of the 2021-22 season after their play-off exit, and made the move to Crawley.
Conroy skippered Crawley to play-off final glory against Crewe in 2024, and will be hoping to help them bounce back following relegation last term.

Goalkeeper Harvey Davies is on loan from Liverpool at the Broadfield Stadium.
The 21-year-old has been on the books of the Anfield club since under-nine level, and enjoyed a positive loan spell with Crewe during the 2023-24 campaign, notably helping them defeat Sunderland via a penalty shootout in the League Cup.
The England age-grade international was part of the under-19 squad that won their European Championship in 2022.
He was also an unused substitute in Liverpoolâs Champions League quarter-final ties against Real Madrid during the 2020-21 season.

Defender Charlie Barker was Crawleyâs player of the season last term, and will be a key figure once again this year.
Barker, 22, came through the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic, and had loan stints with Wealdstone and Hemel Hempstead, before signing for the former on a full-time deal.
Barker â the son of former Rotherham player Richie - returned to the EFL ranks with Crawley a year later, and was a standout performer despite the disappointment of relegation.

Striker Kabongo Tshimanga joined Crawley during the summer from Peterborough United off the back of a productive loan spell at Swindon, there he scored 13 goals in all competitions.
Having been on the books at MK Dons as a youngster, he had loan spells with Aldershot, Chelmsford, Corby, Nuneaton and Yeovil, before full-time moves to Boston United, Oxford City, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield.
Tshimanga enjoyed outstanding goalscoring returns for the latter three of those clubs, and that earned him a move to Peterborough United in 2023.
Loans with Fleetwood and Swindon followed, prior to his switch to the Red Devils during the off-season.

Sam Parker is still only 19 years of age, so it may seem a bit strange to suggest the teenager is looking to make up for lost time at Swansea City.
But the right-sided full-back or winger heads into the 2025-26 campaign having endured a wretched 18 months of injury misfortune.
Parker, who has been with Swansea since under-nine level, was handed his senior debut by Alan Sheehan against Coventry City in December 2023 when aged just 17.
He went on to record an assist against Morecambe in the FA Cup, and had made an eye-catching start to a league game at Birmingham City when injury problems reared their head.
A torn hamstring effectively ended his season and, having recovered from that disappointment, Parker was then hindered by a quad problem that he could not shake off, suffering setbacks when on the verge of returning to action.
But now, with a full pre-season behind him, he is feeling fit and sharp, and is ready to try and kick on.
âI feel a lot better heading into this season,â he said.
âI am really hoping this can be a fresh start for me where I can get my form and fitness up and be starting from the same level as everyone else, and not feel like Iâm playing catch-up.

starting from the same level as everyone else, and not feel like Iâm playing catch-up.
âItâs probably the best place I have been in for a while, being around the first-team group, it feels like a new group. I feel comfortable getting to know the new guys and Iâm enjoying it.
âItâs been a difficult period for me, thereâs no hiding from that or getting away from it, but I cannot dwell on that.
âThese things do happen, it was not down to something that I or anyone else has done, these things are part and parcel of sport.
âOf course it was frustrating to keep being so close to being back, or to even be back, and then have a setback, but I had to go with the flow.
âI came back last pre-season, I played out in Austria, but I began to feel that my quad was a bit tight. We had it scanned and we thought it would just be a few weeks.
âIt ended up being a couple of months, but whenever I came back I could still feel it and it just took more time to settle down.
âBut I hope that is all behind me now. I am at a club and working with a coach who is prepared to give young players a chance.
âHe makes us feel welcome and part of that environment, I feel like he has a really good understanding of what players go through and experience.
âHe knows how we want to be treated.â
That debut at Coventry â in a 1-1 draw where Parker would have had an assist had Yannick Bolasie not steered an inviting low cross over the bar â was as much of a surprise to Parker as it was to many supporters.

But Sheehan â who was in interim charge at the time and is now head coach of the Swans â had seen enough in training to decide the youngster merited his chance.
For Parker it was a dream come true, and that brief glimpse of first-team action has him hungry for more.
âIt was just an amazing period for me. I look back at it and it almost doesnât feel like it was me because in the moment you are just focused on playing,â he said.
âI found that once I walked out on the pitch and the game started, it didnât feel out of the normal to me. Football is football at the end of the day, but it was definitely difference in terms of everything that goes with playing a Championship fixture.
âI could have had an assist against Coventry too, Yannick put my cross over the bar but he did actually say sorry afterwards so Iâll let him off.
âBut that was such a great experience, I think we had a few injuries and I travelled up with the group.
âWe were in the team hotel and (Under-21sâ coach) Anthony Wright â who was with the first team at the time â called me and asked me to come downstairs.
âI got there and the gaffer was there and he sat me down and told me, âSam you are going to be starting today, you deserve itâ.
âI was stunned and eventually he broke the silence and told me, âYou can smile if you wantâ.
âThat kind of snapped me out of it, and he was then really clear with me about what he wanted me to do in the game. I went back to my room and I just could not stop smiling, and I rang my family as quick as I could but Wrighty had told them there was a chance I would be involved so they were able to be at the game.
âIt felt surreal walking out in a stadium like that and seeing the stands full, but when the whistle goes you are able to focus in on your job. Itâs only when there are breaks in play that the noise and everything else comes back in.

âBut it was an unbelievable moment and I would love to have more of them.â
Parkerâs journey to that moment started by playing Power League football near Whitchurch, and from there he went on to play junior football for Danescourt.
But his big break came when one of his coaches formed a new team called Fundamental, and they played against a Swansea academy side.
âFrom one of those games I got offered a trial,â he recalls.
âThere were some good boys in our team who went on to join academies in EFL teams.
âI think we played the under-nines in the barn at Llandarcy, and I got asked to come with a trial and within two weeks of that they rang my mother and I came down to sign, I signed the paperwork with Tony Avo.
"âIt was massive news. My mum used to work in the school I went to, so at lunchtime she came to find me and told me Swansea wanted to sign me. I was so excited.
âWe then went up to train and, if you look back, without that team being set up then I might not have got into this position. There was also a time where I was not sure I would get a scholarship with Swansea, so there have been a few sliding doors moments.
âWe were in the Premier League at the time, and I can remember Josh Thomas and I signed at the same time and we got presented on the pitch before a game against Chelsea and we won 1-0, Gylfi Sigurdsson scored.
âIt just quickly showed you how big a deal it was to have the opportunity, and itâs one I have always been great for.â
And what of the opportunity ahead of Parker at the start of the new season?
âI did not feel âat itâ when I came back originally. I got some minutes in the Championship last season, and I did not feel I was in the game as much as I wanted to be but that was partly down to where my fitness was at,â he says.
âBut I played for Wales Under-19s against England in March and got a full 90 under my belt and I felt like that was the first game where my body was ready for that and I feel a lot better.
âI am buzzing to be involved, to be getting minutes under my belt and feeling fine after it. Itâs as excited as I have felt about any season. I feel I am getting back to where I used to be, there is still work to do but I feel I am getting there.â

Swansea City Under-21s kicked-off their Professional Development League campaign with victory over Crewe Alexandra at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Kyrell Wilson fired the Swans ahead at the break, before he grabbed another goal in the second period after setting up Morgan Bates for the hosts' second.
The visitors grabbed two goals in the last quarter of the game through Will Holt and Luca Moore, but the Swans held on to open their league campaign with a three-point haul.
Evan Anderson had been given his first start for the age-grade side between the sticks, after the Scottish goalkeeper completed his move to the club.
It proved a quick and confident start from the Swans as Kai Rhodes and Wilson led the attack. The first real chance for the hosts came when Aimar Govea's curling cross found the head of Josh Ginnelly, but he directed his effort over the woodwork.
The visitors then broke quickly down the middle through Moore and Isaac Irwin, but Swansea's Iestyn Jones put in a fine block to clear the danger.
Down the other end, neat play from Rhodes and Wilson set Sebastian Dabrowski through on goal, but the defenderâs second touch had too much on it and the chance was gone.
Rhodes - fresh from his brace against Afan Lido in the Nathaniel MG Cup last week - was next to test the Crewe defence, firing a shot just wide.
The Swans should have had the lead when Ginnelly brought down a high ball on the right flank before laying off for Wilson, but a last-ditch tackle from a Crewe defender on the forward sent his effort high and wide.
Govea guided a lovely pass into the path of Wilson, only for Dominic James to save the 19-year-old's shot well with his feet.
But, just seconds later, Wilson opened the scoring in fine fashion as his well-taken strike from outside of the area sailing into the bottom corner.
In the second half, Substitute Bates almost netted a second for the Swans after his sliding effort was well held by the Crewe stopper.
However, the striker would grab a goal of his own immediately after. Wilson turned provider by delivering a fine ball into the box, and Bates made no mistake to tap in for the Swans' second goal of the evening.
Within minutes of the second goal, Bates repaid the favour for Wilson, teeing the forward up and he calmly steered the ball into the middle of the goal to complete his brace.
Thomas Woodward then saw James push away his curling effort from 25 yards as the hosts threatened to run away with things.
Despite the Swans being dominance, Crewe would grab a goal back through Holt whose strike from a tight angle proved too much for Anderson in the Swansea goal.
Rhodes thought he had netted the fourth goal for the hosts but his powerful strike ricocheted off the crossbar and out.
However, Crewe brought the goal deficit back down to one when Moore smashed home from outside the box following a corner-kick, but the Swans held on for all three points.

Swansea City Under-18s kicked-off their Professional Development League campaign with a handsome victory against 10-man Fleetwood Town at the Joma High Performance Centre.
A second-half brace from Billy Clarke, an own goal and a Harvey Gray strike secured the perfect start to the league campaign for the Swans in Landore.
The Swans controlled long periods of the first half, enjoying several extended periods of possession, but they ran away with things in the second half following a straight red card for Fleetwoodâs Mushi Bamba after a late challenge.
The hosts had opened the contest brightly, with Clarke drifting an effort wide of the post after good work by Callum Jones, and skipper Harlan Perry then forced Harry Ascroft into the first save of the game with a free-kick from distance.
But there were few clear-cut chances over the remainder of the half, although Fleetwood had a good chance early in the second period when Lucas Taylor prodded the ball over the bar from close range.
But the Swans took the lead a minute later, Caio Ifans produced a dangerous ball across the face of goal and Gray was on hand to convert from close range.
Taylor had a chance to level for the visitors shortly after, but again could not find the target as he fired over the crossbar again.
And, when Bamba was given his marching orders, the game moved decisively in Swanseaâs favour.
An own goal from a corner extended the hostsâ advantage, with Clarke soon adding a third when he cut in from the right to fire a low shot into the bottom corner of the net, via the inside of the post.
And the scoring was rounded off five minutes from time when substitute Bobby Lewis played in Clarke to slot home his second goal of the contest.

SWANSEA CITY WOMEN ADD FOUR SIGNINGS AS ELLIE LAKE RETURNS
Swansea City Women have completed a quartet of signings ahead of the new Genero Adran Premier season, including the return of club stalwart Ellie Lake.
Midfielder Eilish Mitchell, Goalkeeper Amelia Forkings and centre-back Caitlin Seaborne have also joined the Swans, with all four players signing semi-professional contracts.
Lake is back at the Swans having left at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, having spent seven successful seasons with the club, winning all available domestic silverware and featuring in the Champions League.
She returns having spent last season with Gwalia United.
Seaborne joins having helped Pontypridd secure promotion from the Adran South last term, and has also had a stint in America with Jacksonville Armada this summer.
Midfielder Mitchell links up with the Swans after spending last season with Swansea University, where she worked with the new Swans assistant head coach Dan Sheehan.
Mitchell spent 13 years on the books at Chelsea, and helped them win the FA Youth Cup in 2022.
She subsequently spent two years with Brighton, and was involved in their senior squad for their League Cup campaign before moving to the university in 2024.
Goalkeeper Forkings, meanwhile, is a former Wales Under-19 international who spent part of last season with Pontypridd United Women after returning from a knee injury.
She has previously featured for Cardiff Met Women and Cardiff City Women.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our friend Martin Thomas ⌠Martin was a lifelong Swansea City supporter and season ticket holder he encouraged his son and then his grandchildren to follow the Swans which they do as season ticket holders themselves . He was a family man and was well respected by the hundreds of supporters who got to know him over the past 60 years Martin will be sorely missed by us all he was and always will be a true Jack.

In order to book a headset for the match, supporters can contact the accessibility team in advance by emailing accessibility@swanseacity.com, or contacting the ticket office from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm by calling 01792 616629 and selecting option one.
Supporters can also book headsets in person in advance at the ticket office, or on the day by speaking to a Disability Liaison Steward on the day.

The inclusion room at the Swansea.com Stadium is open every matchday for supporters who may require a quiet space during games.
Supporters will be able to attend live matches at the Swansea.com Stadium with the comfort of knowing there is a designated area should they need it. The room is available to any supporter that may require a quiet space.
The space will be monitored by a designated disability liaison steward and provides a safe space with a disabled toilet, a projector to watch the live game, and dignity packs for those who need it.
While some supporters who require a time away from the crowds may prefer to use this room as a quiet space, it will also be possible to watch the match live on a screen projected onto the wall meaning supporters who require the space for any reason donât have to miss a moment of the match action.
The room is located in the West Stand and, while supporters who feel they may benefit from the use of the space will be recommended to sit in that stand, it will be accessible for anyone in any part of the stadium.
Any supporter who feels overwhelmed by the matchday environment for any reason can gain access to the room by making themselves known to a steward or disability liaison steward.
