Swansea City Under-21s' midfielder Ben Lloyd has his sights firmly set on more goals following his double in the 3-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

The Swans had the lead inside 10 minutes after Kyrell Wilson won and converted a penalty, before Aimar Govea sent Lloyd through to double the Swans' advantage.

Bruno Fernandes pulled a goal back for Sheffield Wednesday in stoppage time, but Lloyd went straight up the other end to restore Swansea’s two-goal lead in the 93rd minute.

For Lloyd the goals were his fifth and sixth of the season, and his second brace following a double against Fleetwood.

"In all honesty, the performance could have been a lot better, but to pick up a win and three points gives us a major boost since we've had a tough run," said Lloyd.

"Getting an early lead helped us build our momentum, and we had a lot of chances, we could have scored four or five more goals in the first half.

"I'm happy to have grabbed two more goals, which makes it six for me this season. It's something I do work on quite a lot in training.

"We've got another two-game week next week, against two in-form sides, but this is what we needed ahead of those two fixtures."
