Biabi ruled out with hamstring injury

23rd August

Swansea City Under-23s striker Botti Biabi has been sidelined for up to six weeks after sustaining a hamstring tear in his left leg.

The striker sustained the injury during the young Swans’ 2-1 win against Cheltenham Town in the Checkatrade Trophy last week.

The 21-year-old, who netted nine goals for the U23s last season, is expected to be unavailable for four to six weeks and will miss the Swans Premier League 2 match against West Ham this Sunday.

“It’s disappointing to be injured this early into the season,” said Biabi. “I was gutted I could not feature against Manchester United this week, but it is just one of those things in football.

“I will just have to work hard to recover now and keep going.”
