As Swansea City prepare to face Norwich City, we take a look at some of the players who have represented both clubs over the years.
Owain Tudur-Jones
Owain Tudur-Jones joined Swansea City in 2005 and became part of a squad that would help lay the foundations for the club’s rise through the divisions.
The midfielder made 56 appearances for the Swans and was part of the side that won the Football League Trophy in 2006. Tudur-Jones also played his part in Swansea’s 2007-08 League One title-winning campaign, as Roberto Martinez’s side secured promotion to the Championship.
He moved to Norwich City in 2009, although his time at Carrow Road was affected by injury. He made eight appearances for the Canaries, scoring once, before later spending loan spells with Yeovil Town.
Kyle Naughton
Kyle Naughton spent the 2011-12 season on loan at Norwich City, making 32 appearances as the Canaries competed in the Premier League.
His versatility proved valuable for Norwich, with Naughton featuring at both full-back positions during his time at Carrow Road before returning to his parent club at the end of the season.
Naughton joined Swansea City in January 2015 and quickly established himself as a regular in the Swans defence. He made 17 Premier League appearances during the second half of the 2014-15 season.
His consistency saw him become one of Swansea’s longest-serving players of the modern era. Naughton made 330 appearances for the club, featuring in both the Premier League and Championship.
Ryan Bennett
Ryan Bennett joined Norwich City in January 2012 and quickly became an important part of the Canaries’ defence. He featured in both the Premier League and Championship during his time at Carrow Road.
His first spell included Norwich's return to the Premier League, while he helped Wolverhampton Wanderers win promotion to the top flight.
Bennett joined Swansea City from Wolves in October of 2020 and was part of the squad that reached the play-off final. He made 49 apperances in total for the Swans.
Martin Olsson
Martin Olsson joined Norwich City in January 2013 and spent four years with the Canaries, making more than 120 appearances across all competitions.
The left-back was part of the Norwich side that won promotion back to the Premier League in 2015, before helping the club compete in the top flight during the following campaign.
Olsson moved to Swansea City in January 2017 and immediately became an important part of Paul Clement’s side. He made 15 Premier League appearances during the second half of the campaign as the Swans secured their Premier League status.
He remained at the club for two more seasons, making 75 appearances in total before departing in 2019. Olsson scored twice for Swansea, including a memorable goal in the club’s 2-0 victory over Burnley in February 2017.
Adam Idah
One of the more recent players to have represented both clubs is Adam Idah, who made his senior breakthrough at Norwich City after joining the Canaries’ academy as a teenager.
The Cork-born striker made his first-team debut for Norwich in August 2019 and went on to make 149 appearances for the club, scoring 33 goals. His time in Norfolk included helping the Canaries win the Championship title in 2020-21, while he also scored his first Premier League goal against Everton in January 2022.
After a spell with Celtic, Idah joined Swansea City in September 2025 and made an immediate impact in SA1, scoring six goals in 25 appearances during his first season with the Swans.
