Swansea City defender Jack Fanning has put pen to paper on a contract extension to secure his stay at the club until at least June 2026.

Fanning, who made the move to south Wales in January 2023, has signed a deal through to the summer of 2026, which includes the option of an additional 12 months.

The centre-back rose through the youth ranks at Exeter City, spending eight years within their academy set-up before gaining experience in non-league football.

Fanning had a spell with Tiverton Town before his move to Swansea, making his full first-team debut in October 2022 against Poole Town, and scoring in the process.

The 19-year-old missed the majority of the 2024-25 campaign due to injury, making his return in the under-21s' Professional Development League fixture against Charlton Athletic in December, but the defender suffered a small setback in the aftermath.

He made his first start of the season against Millwall in February, and he scored the winning goal in the age-grade side's 1-0 victory over Hull City at the Joma High Performance Centre in April.
