Double delight for Tremmel

30th January

Gerhard Tremmel hailed another solid away performance after the Swans claimed a deserved point at Sunderland.
Michael Laudrup's side returned from the North East with another clean sheet - a seventh of the Barclays Premier League season - which ensures the Swans have the best defensive record on their travels in the top flight.
The stalemate moved the Swans onto 34 points - 14 clear of third-bottom Aston Villa - though the visitors almost took all three points at the Stadium of Light but saw Danny Graham's late effort blocked by a determined home rearguard.
Tremmel, though, was pleased with their latest performance and point.
"We played well throughout the game, and we could have won it at the end when Danny went close," said Tremmel.
"Defensively we were tough to break down, and I didn't have a save to make through the whole 90 minutes.
"That's very pleasing from a goalkeeper's point of view, because you can see the whole team working together as a unit.
"I think that mentality has really helped us this season, particularly away from home as we are so hard to break down.
"Sunderland found it difficult to create chances and get into space against us, so we can take a lot of positives from that and the fact we have another point on the board."
