Swansea City is delighted to announce Ffynone House School will become the academy's official education partner for the next three years.

The partnership will help support education and personal development for academy players of all ages providing extra curricular activities, scholarships, community activations and coaching-led sessions.

Ffynone will provide Maths and English teachers to allow our under-13 and under-14 age groups to attend a day release programme. A vital step to help the club reach the training hours required to regain Category One academy status.

By the 2028-29 season, up to six scholarships offered to the highest potential players will see them enter the academy's full-time programme.

Players will have access to a bespoke timetable that will provide them with access to training with the Professional Development Phase age groups and the ‘Elite’ training group during day sessions, allowing coaches to have more contact time with these players to increase the rate of their development.

Swansea City Academy manager Ryan Davies said: "We are delighted to have partnered with Ffynone as our education partner.

"If we are successful in attaining Category One status, we will be able to move players from North and Mid Wales to Swansea, provide them with their education and provide them with additional access to training.

"Previous success stories from the full-time programme include Ben Cabango, Liam Cullen, Ollie Cooper, Brandon Cooper and Cameron Congreve. All these players are not local to Swansea but had the opportunity to move to Swansea and gain extra training provision.

"This is a big part of helping us to improve our training programme to enhance our players' development to be able to compete at a Category One level."

Head of academy education Jordan Morris said: "We have a brilliant partnership with Ffynone School who provide us with specialist Maths and English support as part of our day release programme.

"This allows our players to stay on track with their academic work while also having the privilege of accessing additional training during the week. It’s a partnership that helps us support the development of our players both academically and on the football pitch."

Headteacher at Ffynone House School Josie Miles said: “This is an enormously proud moment for Ffynone as we announce our partnership with Swansea City AFC.

"Our elite education services will run alongside their top-level training programmes for their academy players, through bespoke curriculum plans and flexible timetabling. This deal confirms an exciting new era for both Swans Academy and Ffynone House School."
