Goalkeeper Joe Collins joins Swansea City Academy

Goalkeeper Joe Collins has joined Swansea City Academy.

The 18-year-old, previously registered at Irish Premier Division side Bohemians FC, makes the move to south Wales on a deal through to June 2027 and will link up with Anthony Wright's under-21s' side.

Collins has represented Republic of Ireland at various youth levels with seven international caps to his name in total; he has made two senior appearances for Bohemians in the Leinster Senior Cup, his first outing coming when he was just 17-years-old.

He was spotted at a young age as he rose through the age groups of the Bray Wanderers academy system before joining the Bohemians academy at the beginning of 2023.

He quickly progressed further at Bohemians, becoming a key man for their under-20s over the past two years, signing his first professional contract and featuring for the first team in cup competitions.

Swansea City can also confirm that Zac Jeanes has left the club after all parties reached an agreement over the termination of his contract.
