Gregory Asemokhai joins Swansea City Under-21s
Centre-back Gregory Asemokhai has joined Swansea City Under-21s' side, subject to the relevant clearance.
Asemokhai has signed terms in SA1 through until June 2028.
The centre-back had a unique entry into full-time football, having joined Brentford from the Elite Coaching Academy (ECA), an institution dedicated to nurturing young talent for careers in professional football.
The 19-year-old missed the majority of the 2024-25 campaign due to injury, but impressed throughout his 26 appearances for Bees’ under-18s which saw him promoted to the under-21s side.
He made nine appearances for Brentford B last season.
Head of academy recruitment Paul Robinson said "Gregory brings a commanding aerial presence and physicality to the defensive unit.
"His left-footed balance provides valuable versatility in the build-up phase, while his athleticism and defensive presence enable him to compete effectively in aerial and one-on-one situations. Gregory's composure, defensive awareness and willingness to play on the front foot make him an exciting young defender with significant long-term potential.
"I believe that Gregory is a player with the attributes to develop within Swansea City's environment, and his combination of size, technical quality and future potential makes him a valuable addition to the club's defensive options."
