Iestyn Jones signs new deal through to 2028

Swansea City Under-21s' defender Iestyn Jones has put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.

Jones signs on for an extra two years until the end of June 2028, with his previous contract having been due to expire at the end of this season.

The 18-year-old has been at Swansea City since under-nine level and has since progressed through the ranks; signing his scholarship prior to the 2023-24 season.

He signed his first professional contract in October 2024 having impressed playing up an age-group for most of the prior campaign.

A Welsh youth international, he played a vital role in Wales' Under-17s' European Championship qualifying campaign in 2024, and has since represented his country at under-18 and under-19 level.

Jones has been a pivotal figure in defence for the under-21s this season, and has been a mainstay in first-team training at Fairwood under Vitor Matos.
