Jenson Seelt seals Swansea City loan move

Swansea City is pleased to announce the signing of defender Jenson Seelt on loan from Sunderland, subject to the relevant clearance.

The 23-year-old centre-back links up with the Swans for the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign, and could be in line to make his debut in Saturday’s Championship fixture at Derby County.

The Dutchman will wear the number three shirt during his time in south Wales, and will bolster Vitor Matos’ defensive options.

The 6ft 3in centre-half boasts Premier League and Championship experience from his time with the Black Cats, while he has also featured in the Eredivisie and Bundesliga after spells with PSV Eindhoven and Wolfsburg respectively.

Head coach Vitor Matos said: “Jenson is a talented young player, and he will provide us with valuable depth in our defensive options.

“He brings physicality and aerial dominance, but also a composure on the ball and ability to read the game. We are happy he will spend the rest of the season with us and we look forward to integrating him into the squad.”

Sporting director Ben Stevens said: “Jenson is an exciting prospect who has already played in the Championship, Eredivisie, Bundesliga and Premier League.
