Josh Key continues to be assessed ahead of Lincoln test

Vitor Matos has confirmed Swansea City are continuing to assess the fitness of defender Josh Key ahead of Saturday’s trip to Lincoln City.

The 26-year-old was taken off at half-time during last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Burnley with a hamstring issue, and will continue to be monitored ahead of the Swans’ final fixture before the international break.

“Josh is still being assessed to see how he is at the moment," confirmed Matos. 

“It’s still open and we have one more training session left before the next game, so we will see how that goes.

“He hasn’t been training, but he’s been doing specific work to help him. We are awaiting one more scan to determine the outcome.

“Everyone else is looking okay for the weekend.”

Elsewhere, Matos confirmed Ross Stewart is expected to return after the international break, while Cameron Burgess remains sidelined with an Achilles injury.

Gonçalo Franco is available for the trip to Lincoln after making his long-awaited return from injury against the Clarets last weekend.
