Junior Jacks are invited to name Cyril and Cybil’s cygnets
Swansea City is inviting junior supporters to name Cyril and Cybil’s cygnets, who made their debut in the 'Feels like Family' mural which appeared outside the South Stand ahead of the home fixture against Burnley.
The mural was painted by Hasan Kamil and Mark Hughes and was created in collaboration with five participants from the Swansea City AFC Foundation's Premier League Kicks Programme.
The young people practiced some graffiti techniques before deciding on themes and motifs which the mural should include.
As well as mirroring the ‘Feels Like Home’ mural on Salubrious Way (also painted by Hasan), the young people felt the mural should bring the Swans family to life through the club’s mascots Cyril and Cybil and their new children. They also wanted to see the city’s landscape showcased at the base of the image.
With the introduction of the new characters, the club is seeking names for the cygnets.
Young Junior Jacks located in the South Stand began recommending names at the Burnley game, and we are now offer the rest of the young fans to have their say.
We will close the nominations on September with the winning names announced shortly after.
The two junior jacks who put forward the winning names will win a VIP matchday experience including watching warm up from pitchside, and a chance to take a half-time penalty.
Please note, if more than one Junior Jack chooses the same name, a winner will be drawn at random.
