Marko Stamenić | There's another big three points on the line

Marko Stamenic wants Swansea City to carry their confidence and belief into Tuesday night’s meeting with Millwall at The Den.

The Swans claimed a sixth win in nine league games on Saturday, coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Norwich City at the Swansea.com Stadium thanks to goals from Adam Idah and Moussa Yeo.

Stamenic knows another difficult test awaits in south London against a Lions side who made the play-offs last season, but believes the confidence within the squad can help them maintain their strong start to the campaign.

“It will be another difficult game. We know it’s a difficult stadium to go to, but we will have to be ready to go again,” he said.

“Saturday was a big win for us. We knew it was an important game for us with the buzz around us being top of the league, so I'm really happy we got the win.

“We showed great character to bounce back again. We’ve felt a load of confidence in games this season, and we know even if we concede one goal and go behind, we’ve got the quality and mentality to turn games around.

“Going to Millwall we’ll have to be up for it again and we know there’s another big three points on the line. We know they’re a good side but we’ve got to be ready for the challenge.

“For us now it’s about carrying that momentum into Tuesday. Confidence and belief is a big factor in that and we’ve found that in the first portion of the season, and we’ll hope to continue with that.”
