Leigh Doughty

Leigh Doughty will be the referee for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).

The Lancashire official will be taking charge of a Swans’ fixture for the first time this season. He last had the whistle for a Swans game in the 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United last term, with his previous Swansea assignment to that being a 1-0 win over Rotherham in April 2024.

Doughty refereed in the National League during the 2018-19 season, before stepping up to EFL level the following season, and then to the second tier in 2020-21.

This season, he has taken charge of seven games in all competitions. He has handed out a total of 31 yellow cards and two reds.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Richard Woodward and James Wilson. Robert Madley will be the fourth official.
