Midfielder Yori Griffith signs new contract at Swansea City

Midfielder Yori Griffith has put pen to paper on a new contract at Swansea City.

Griffith, whose contract was due to end this year, extends his stay at the club until June 2029.

The 19-year-old has been at the Swans since under-10 level and has since progressed through the ranks; signing his scholarship prior to the 2023-24 season.

A regular for the under-21s, Griffith made his first under-21s' start in their 2-1 loss away to Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium in March, scoring on his full debut in April 2024.

The midfielder played every game in the under-18s' Professional Development League Cup campaign during the 2023/24 season, as they reached the final before losing against Millwall at The Den in April.

The youngster has since struggled with an injury-hit year, but has been called upon for training by Vitor Matos on many occasions since his arrival in November.
