Luciano Narsingh hit the golden beaches of Curacao this summer, but a different destination was his main focus – the gym.

The Dutchman is preparing for his first full Premier League campaign at Swansea City having joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in January.

He featured 13 times under Paul Clement as the Swans beat the drop in a tense relegation battle, with Narsingh chipping in with his share of assists.

But now he is determined to hit the ground running as he looks to build on his promising start to life in SA1.

“I went to Curacao and Marrakesh over the summer, but I had a personal trainer to hit the gym with, and I had a programme from the club to stick to,” said the winger.

“This is the best league in the world, so you need the best preparation. You can’t ease up because you will fall behind.

“I had half a season to learn and adapt to the Premier League.

“Straightaway I could see the game is much faster and the game is a lot more physical.

“I had to work hard on my strength because I needed to improve that aspect of my game, and I’m happy with where I am now.

“Now, with half a season behind me, I want to show more and more of myself.”
