Swansea City Under-18s hope to continue their fine form on Saturday morning as they host Sheffield United in the Professional Development League at Landore Training Ground. (11am kick-off).

Supporters can attend the game for free and will be able to enter the Landore site from 10am.

The young Swans are currently unbeaten in their last six league outings, picking up three points against Queens Park Rangers last time out thanks to an excellent free-kick from Dan Watts.

Despite suffering defeat against Coventry City earlier this week, the Blades have won four out of their last six, placing them comfortably in the play-off positions in the North section table.

Coach Darren Davies: "As coaching staff, we always focus on performance and individual development but our results are something the boys are aware of.

"They’re young men who want to win.

"We’re developing a good environment and, most importantly, a good learning environment. There’s a shorter turnaround now between games.

"Sheffield United will come down here and they are a very good side who are doing very well in their league and that will be a good test for us."

Midfielder Dan Watts: "We’re looking forward to playing Sheffield United. They’re doing really well in their league so it will be a really good challenge for us.

"We will just keep trying to play as we have been and not come away from our principles."

Ten-man Swansea City Under-18s battled to a draw against Sheffield United in their last Professional Development League encounter at Landore.

The Swans found themselves behind in the first minute of the game as George Dickinson struck early for the Blades, but Iwan Morgan soon levelled matters.

However, Swansea were reduced to 10 when Charlie Veevers was given his marching orders for a tough challenge in the middle of the park, setting up a difficult hour with a man disadvantage.

But the home side battled bravely to secure a share of the spoils.
