Swansea City Under-21s are back in Professional Development League action on Monday evening when they welcome AFC Bournemouth to Landore Training Ground (7pm).

Entry for this fixture is free and supporters are allowed on site from 6pm.

The Swans will be hoping to keep their 15-game unbeaten home run in the league intact against the Cherries, who currently sit joint-top of the PDL South with Queens Park Rangers.

The visitors currently sit three points ahead of the Swans, having lost just once in their last five fixtures in all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Swans suffered a narrow 1-0 loss against Charlton Athletic last time out.

Coach Anthony Wright: "We know they're going to be a tough team, they showed that when we played them at their base last year.

"It feels like a while since we've played at Landore, and that's where we're most comfortable. The boys were delighted to get to the next round of the Premier League Cup, but we now have to turn our focus back to the league."

Swansea City Under-21s fell to defeat against AFC Bournemouth in their final pre-season friendly match ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

A first-half brace for Nathan Moira-Welsh and a second-half header by Ben Greenwood sealed defeat for the Swans, who failed to convert a penalty late on.

Moira-Welsh gave the visitors the lead inside two minutes when a misplaced back pass put the forward one-on-one with Archie Matthews. The keeper came off his line quickly, but was bested by a neat chipped finish.

Swans did have the ball in the net two minutes later when Dan Williams and Ollie Cooper combined. It was a calm finish from the latter, but he was denied by the assistant referee’s flag.
