Preview | Swansea City Under-21s v Caerau Ely
Swansea City Under-21s return to Nathaniel MG Cup action this afternoon, as they take on JD Cymru South side Caerau Ely in the second round of the competition at Briton Ferry.
The Swans were drawn against the Cardiff-based club after easing past Carmarthen Town in the first round at Richmond Park.
It is the Swans debut Nathaniel MG Cup campaign after they were handed a wildcard entry to this season's competition.
Formed in 1955, Caerau Ely returned to the JD Cymru South after winning the Ardal South League last season, and they kicked off their return with a 4-0 victory over Abergavenny Town last Saturday.
This fixture is pay-on-the-day only, and ticketing prices are as follows:
ADULTS - £5
CONCESSIONS - £4
UNDER-16S - £2
Coach Anthony Wright: “We’re looking forward to competing in the second round, especially in this new competition.
“The boys are well up for it, and we’ve said that we’d like to go as far as we can and show our quality against these senior teams.”
Striker Iwan Morgan: “This a cup we’d love to win, and I think we showed what we can do against Carmarthen.
“We’ve never come up against Caerau Ely before, so it’ll be a big test, and they’ll also be up for going as far in the competition as they can.”
