Swansea City Under-21s kick off their Premier League Cup campaign this evening as they travel to face Wolverhampton Wanderers (7pm kick-off).

Swansea have enjoyed a positive start to the season having won five of their seven Professional Development League fixtures.

The Swans made it through to the quarter-final stage of the PL Cup in the 2023-24 campaign, but were defeated by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. The Welsh side are also previous winners of this competition in 2016.

Tonight's hosts are yet to pick up a win in their Premier League 2 season so far and have lost three of their last five outings.

However, Wolves enjoyed a victory in the Vertu Trophy last time out with a 2-1 win over League One Wigan Athletic.

Swansea City Under-23s were denied a first win in the Premier League Cup in unfortunate fashion as two own goals pegged back their advantage at Wolves.

First-half goals from Joel Cotterill and Rio Campbell gave the Swans a two-goal lead, but Tivonge Rushesha and Jack Stafford put through their own net either side of half-time as Wolves took a point.
