Swansea City Women’s forward Stacey John-Davis praised the fine run of form her side have produced, and wants them to carry it into their final fixture of 2023 against Barry Town United Women.

John-Davis made it four goals in two games as she netted twice last time out against Cascade YC Ladies, helping her side to a 6-1 win and setting up a Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-final tie against Cardiff City Women.

But the forward feels the team's form is more important than her personal displays, with the Swans having won seven of their last eight games in all competitions.

“We are all really happy to get into the semi-finals of a cup, it’s a really good achievement so we are all really happy with that,” said John-Davis.

“It’s always nice to get onto the scoresheet, help the team out and compose everyone with a couple of goals.

“It’s nice to be getting into good personal form, but more importantly we are in good form as a team, we want to keep that going into the game on Sunday and we will put everything into that game.

“I will never say I’m back to my best, there is always room for improvement on everything, but I will go into the weekend with a bit of confidence.

“We’ve taken the cup seriously right from the start, we can never underestimate any opposition, but we now have to focus on Barry.”
