Swans To Host Atalanta In Liberty Friendly
SWANSEA CITY WILL COMPLETE THEIR PREPARATIONS FOR THE NEW CHAMPIONSHIP CAMPAIGN WITH A FRIENDLY AGAINST SERIE A SIDE ATALANTA AT THE LIBERTY STADIUM ON SATURDAY, JULY 27 (3PM).
The Italian club will arrive in Wales on the back of the best season in their history after finishing third in Serie A and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
They also reached the Coppa Italia final, losing to Lazio after a run that had seen them convincingly beat Serie A champions Juventus 3-0 en route to the May showpiece.
Among other notable results were a league win at Napoli and a 4-1 thumping of Inter Milan.
I Nerazzurri are managed by the experienced Gian Piero Gasperini. The 61-year-old former Juventus midfielder - who has also had spells in charge of Inter Milan, Palermo and Genoa - took the helm in 2016.

New Swans head coach Steve Cooper has been busy finalising plans for pre-season, with the club also confirming a week-long training camp in southern Spain from June 30 to July 7.
Based near Huelva in the region of Andalusia, Cooper’s squad will also play a training game against League Two side Mansfield Town in Portugal at Complexo Desportivo, 8900-211 Vila Real de Santo António at 11am local time on July 6. Entry is free.
On their return to the UK, the Swans will play the following friendlies.
