Swansea City Football Club has teamed up with Meadow View Sports Complex to launch an exciting new summer development league this month.

The development league is looking for under-6 to under-10 age ranged teams from the Swansea and surrounding areas to participate in the summer football programme.

The league will be hosted at Townhill’s Meadow View Sports Complex supported by Swansea City Academy and development coaches and will run from Monday, April 10 until the end of June on weekday evenings, Monday to Friday.

“This new development football programme is an excellent opportunity for players and teams across the south west Wales to participate in a fun and challenging environment,” Swans Academy Recruitment Coordinator, Adam Mahoney said.

“Our hope is that we can help young players from the Swansea and surrounding area develop their football and help create a pathway into our development centres and academy.”

Gary Taylor, Meadow View Sports Manager added, “Our new working link with Swansea City’s development team will give local children the opportunity to play extra matches.

“Players will be able play a variety of different match styles and rule changes to challenge the players in different ways to maximise player development.”

The summer development league starts on Monday, April 10, with a cost of £10 per team, per night.
