Centre-forward Caleb Demery has joined Swansea City's academy from JD Cymru Premier side Briton Ferry Llansawel.

The 19-year-old was previously involved in Swansea City’s academy ranks up until under-13s' level, before making the switch to Welsh League football.

After his first spell with Swansea, the striker joined Pontardawe and then made the move to Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Last term, Demery scored five goals in 21 games in all competitions and played a vital role in helping The Ferry maintain their top flight status last season.

During the 2023-24 campaign for Briton Ferry, the youngster registered 104 goals and assists combined across the under-19s and senior team. Demery will link back up with Briton Ferry coaches Anthony Wright and Chris Llewellyn in SA1.

The youngster represented the Welsh Colleges' last term, scoring five goals in their 6-1 win against England in November.

"We certainly feel that Caleb has been a high performer for the past two years playing for his club Briton ferry and Wales.

"Caleb has brilliant numbers with assists and goals last season so we are hopeful that he can produce the same level with us."
