Swansea City round off transfer window with loan deal for Jeremy Monga
Highly-rated winger Jeremy Monga has joined Swansea City on loan for the remainder of the 2026-27 season, subject to the relevant clearance.
The 17-year-old forward links up with the Swans from parent club Manchester City, having completed a permanent move to the Etihad Stadium from Leicester City earlier in the summer.
Monga will wear the number 12 shirt in south Wales, and has already made 34 first team appearances in his fledgling career.
Due to the player's age and the loan being deemed an international transfer (England to Wales) under FIFA regulations, Monga will require a FIFA Minor Application exemption before he is able to play for the Swans.
Monga was on the books of Coventry before joining Leicester City in 2024, and his progress was such that he made his senior debut in a Premier League fixture against Newcastle United in April 2025 at the age of just 15 years and 271 days; making him the third-youngest player to have featured in the competition.
He went on to see regular Championship game time, including an eye-catching display in the Foxes 3-1 win at the Swansea.com Stadium last term, with his pace, energy and skill earning him a move to Manchester City ahead of now linking up with the Swans.
