Taylor: We deserved a draw

28th November

Neil Taylor felt the Swans deserved a point and progression to the Europa League knockout stages following their 1-0 defeat to Valencia at the Liberty.
Daniel Parejo scored the only goal after 20 minutes as Valencia confirmed their place at the top of Group A, but the Swans were denied an equaliser after sub Alvaro Vazquez was ruled offside when he tapped home from Jonjo Shelvey's parried effort just before the break.
Replays showed the Spaniard was onside, and the Swans pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half with Vazquez seeing his effort cleared off the line.
And Taylor felt the home side should have got the point that would have sealed their place in the last 32 of the competition.

"We should have got something from the game," said the Wales international. "We got a goal but it was ruled offside, which is frustrating for us.
"Credit to Valencia, they are a very good team and I think they played very well.
"But we should have booked our place in the knockout stages tonight."
With Kuban Krasnodar beating St Gallen 4-0 to move three points behind the Swans, qualification for the final spot in Group A now goes to the final day.
Michael Laudrup's side need a point in Switzerland next month to guarantee their place in the last 32, with Kuban needing to beat Valencia and hope the Swans slip up if they are to qualify.
And Taylor insists the Swans will only be concentrating on their own commitments against St Gallen on December 12.
"Obviously the other game affects us, but we have to do the job in front of us and not worry about anything else," added Taylor.
"At the start of the competition we would have taken this scenario, but we started well in the group but the results haven't quite gone as we have wanted in the second half of the group stage.
"It's still in our hands - like it was tonight - and we have to put in a performance out there to make sure we get through."
