Wales international call-ups for Academy Youngsters

Eight Swansea City academy players have been called up to represent Wales ahead of the March international break.

Callum Jones and Milo Robinson have been called up by Wales Under-16s ahead of the Mondial Football Montiagu Tournament. The competition will be held in France between March 23 and April 2.

Harlan Perry and Iestyn Jones, meanwhile, are in the Wales Under-17 squad ahead of their Uefa European Championship Elite Round later this month.

Wales begin the window with a clash against the hosts Romania on Wednesday, March 20 before facing Sweden three days later on Saturday, March 23. They then conclude the Elite Round against Bulgaria on Tuesday, March 26. All three matches get under way at 10am GMT.

Craig Knight’s side are aiming to qualify for back-to-back UEFA U17 EURO finals after their maiden appearance in Hungary last summer, where the squad included Swansea City's Sam Parker, Kit Margetson and Jacob Cook.

Margetson has been named in Rob Edwards' Wales Under-19 squad for their friendly double-header against Belgium in Brussels later this month.

The first clash between the two sides will take place on Thursday, March 21, before the second meeting four days later on Monday, March 25.

Wales missed out on a place in the Elite Round last October and will use these fixtures to prepare for the Uefa European Under-19 Championship qualifying round later this year.

Joel Cotterill Wales

Matty Jones has named Evan Watts, Ben Lloyd and Joel Cotterill in his squad for the 2025 Uefa Euro Under-21 qualifier against Lithuania and friendly against Morocco.

Wales' first game of the window sees them take on Lithuania in their penultimate home qualifier at Rodney Parade in Newport on Friday, March 22 (6pm).

A reduced squad will then make the trip to Antalya, Turkey as Jones’ side face Olympics-bound Morocco Under-23s in a friendly on Tuesday, March 26 (6pm).

Wales sit second in Group I after taking eight points from their opening five games of the qualifying campaign. The game will be shown live on Sgorio.
