Striker Bobby Wales joined Swansea in the summer of 2025 after the club agreed a compensation package with Kilmarnock for his services.
The 19-year-old signed a four-year contract with the Swans and, although still a teenager, arrived in south Wales with considerable experience of senior football.
He had 69 first-team appearances to his name for Kilmarnock and Alloa, scoring 17 goals, and his form during the 2024-25 season saw him nominated for the Scottish Football Writers’ Association young player of the year award. He also won Kilmarnock’s young player of the year prize that season.
Wales, a Scotland youth international, first joined Kilmarnock in 2015, having been spotted playing for Hurlford Boys’ Club.
He signed a first professional deal in 2021, and was named the Rugby Park outfit’s academy rising star award in 2023 after scoring 25 goals for their reserve and development squads.
