Our Health and Wellbeing project aims to empower and encourage young people to lead healthier, happier lives by providing engaging, practical tools that support their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. The programme is designed to create a positive, supportive environment where young people can develop new skills, build confidence and recognise their own potential.

Developed in line with the new Curriculum for Wales and the Health and Well-being Area of Learning and Experience, the programme gives young people the opportunity to explore a range of  topics, including mental health, sleep, social media, positive relationships, nutrition and future pathways. Participating pupils will get a chance to interact with Swansea City AFC club staff and learn about how a professional football club supports the wellbeing of its first team and academy players.

Working in small cohorts of 8-12 pupils, participants will get the opportunity to take part in a 10 week, 20-hour intervention delivered in school. The classroom-based sessions will focus on developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to support personal development and positive life choices that will bring lifelong benefits. The practical sessions will look at developing participants social skills, leadership and teamwork through the delivery of multi-sport physical activity. All participating pupils will get the opportunity to celebrate their success at the Swansea.com Stadium.

To celebrate their achievements, all participating pupils will have the opportunity to experience a special celebration event at the Swansea.com Stadium
