First team

Luke Moore was the hero as the Swans claimed a memorable 1-0 victory over title-chasing Manchester City at the Liberty.

The substitute headed home Wayne Routledge’s cross seven minutes from time as Brendan Rodgers’ side enjoyed another huge scalp in SA1.

The Swans made a dominant start to the contest and were awarded a penalty inside the opening five minutes when Routledge was brought down by Joe Hart.

However, the England goalkeeper made amends by guessing correctly to deny Scott Sinclair from the spot.

Routledge continued to cause problems for the visitors as he forced Hart into another save, while Danny Graham shot just wide from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s pass.

The Swans limited Roberto Mancini’s side to half-chances at the other end as they maintained their superiority on the game.

Their pressure eventually paid dividends when, just four minutes after coming on, Moore was unmarked in the box to head Routledge’s centre beyond the reach of Hart.

Rodgers’ side survived a scare later on as Micah Richards’ goal was ruled out for offside, before holding on for a famous victory.
