Swansea’s struggles away from home continued as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The Swans were searching for their first point on the road in the Premier League, but were behind after just 49 seconds in East Anglia.

Steve Morison was on hand to nod Elliott Bennett’s looping cross into the path of Anthony Pilkington, who fired past Michel Vorm from close range.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were slow to react and found themselves 2-0 down inside 10 minutes, as Russell Martin was unmarked to head home his first Premier League goal from David Fox’s free-kick.

Nevertheless, the visitors responded well and halved the deficit soon after the restart. Scott Sinclair was involved with a strong run into the box before finding Danny Graham, who netted his second goal in as many games.

Back came the hosts with Morison forcing a good save out of Vorm, while Bennett saw his cross bounce off the crossbar and to safety.

At the other end, Sinclair tested John Ruddy with a low drive but Norwich put the game beyond Swansea 18 minutes into the second half.

Fox’s set-piece delivery caused problems once again for the Swans, with Leon Barnett and Bradley Johnson finding Pilkington for his second goal of the game.
