First team

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored twice as the Swans ran out commanding 3-0 winners over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Joe Allen was also on target for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who produced one of their best away performances of the season to move up to eighth place in the Premier League.

Fulham were unbeaten at home since December but could not withstand a Swans side brewing with confidence following their impressive 1-0 victory over Manchester City the previous weekend.

The hosts did start brightly with Clint Dempsey and Mousa Dembele drawing smart saves out of Michel Vorm inside the opening four minutes.

Meanwhile, Danny Graham went close at the other end for the Swans as they pressed for the opener.

And they did break the deadlock in the 36th minute when Wayne Routledge’s cross to the far post was volleyed across the face of goal by Scott Sinclair and Sigurdsson was on hand to head home.

The visitors doubled their advantage midway through the second half as Sigurdsson and Routledge linked up down the right flank, before the Icelandic midfielder swept the ball past Mark Schwarzer.

And the victory was completed 13 minutes from time when Allen pounced on some sloppy play by Fulham with a strong run before firing home.

Sinclair went close to adding a fourth in the dying moments but the damage had already been done by Rodgers’ side, who recorded their 12th clean sheet of the season – with only Manchester United and Manchester City boasting more.
