27/12/2011 19:45 v Queens Park Rangers

29th May
First team

The Swans were forced to settle for a point after being held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers at the Liberty.

Danny Graham’s first-half strike was cancelled out by Jamie Mackie as the spoils were shared in SA1.

QPR arrived in South Wales off the back of three consecutive defeats and they fell behind in the 17th minute, as Danny Graham controlled Wayne Routledge’s cross on the edge of the area before firing past Paddy Kenny.

Graham went close to doubling the lead soon after but saw his shot blocked by Clint Hill while, at the other end, Vorm made an acrobatic save to push away Barton’s long-range effort.

The visitors took control after the break and went close to equalising when Adel Taarabt volleyed wide.

But the equaliser came in the 58th minute as Mackie pounced on a loose header by Leon Britton and held off the challenge of Ashley Williams before firing past Vorm.

Both sides pushed for the winner as the clock ticked down.

The Swans had a penalty waved away by referee Lee Probert when Graham went down under the challenge of Armand Traore, while Vorm did well to tip Taarabt’s curling shot around the post at the other end.
