First team

The Swans surrendered a three-goal advantage as they were pegged back to a 4-4 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Liberty.

Brendan Rodgers’ side led 3-0 and 4-1 following a frantic start to the contest, but were eventually forced to settle for a share of the spoils in SA1.

They made a flying start and took the lead after just 46 seconds as Andrea Orlandi headed home Scott Sinclair’s cross for his first goal in two years.

The lead was doubled in the fourth minute when Joe Allen’s strike deflected past Liberty old boy Dorus de Vries, while Nathan Dyer’s header made it 3-0 after a quarter of an hour.

Steven Fletcher replied for Wolves, but the three-goal buffer was restored on 31 minutes when Danny Graham turned home Dyer’s cross for his first goal in 11 games.

However, the visitors responded within two minutes when Matt Jarvis drilled in Kevin Doyle’s cross.

Wolves’ relegation to the Championship had been confirmed the previous weekend but they showed tremendous fighting spirit after the break.

Wales international Dave Edwards reduced the deficit further before Jarvis’ second goal of the game completed the comeback and secured a point.
