Adam Idah hopes he can put his injury frustrations firmly behind him after marking his return to action with a goal and an assist in the Good Friday draw against Sheffield United.

Idah was introduced as a substitute at Bramall Lane, marking his first minutes in a Swansea shirt since suffering a hamstring injury on Christmas Day, shortly after the Republic of Ireland had netted the dramatic winner against Wrexham.

He made a big impact as he played a key role in helping Swansea to recover from 3-1 down; halving the deficit with an accomplished finish from a Jay Fulton pull-back, before turning provider as his strength and composure set Jisung Eom up for the equaliser.

After three long months on the sidelines, Idah is pleased to be back in action for club and country, and is feeling confident about how the squad is developing as the campaign nears its conclusion.

"It's been a frustrating time, being out for that long. I've been eager to get back and it's nice to get some minutes, but to get a goal is another bonus," he said.

"It was dramatic, but I think the mentality around the group was really good, to be 3-1 down to then bring it back is excellent, we probably could have gone on to win the game, but we'll take the point.

"We created chances in the first half, and we were unlucky not to score, and then they went on to score themselves.

"When I was coming on the pitch I was quite confident we could get something. When I scored the first one, I think the mentality in the team shifted.

"It's really nice to get my first goal back after being out for so long, it's a nice feeling.

"Everyone that came on made a difference, that's what we've got in this team, we've got that character and mentality in us, it's just about us going out and showing it."
