Alan Sheehan praised the consistency of Josh Tymon after the full-back contributed another assist on his 100th appearance for Swansea City in the win over Blackburn Rovers.

The defender has been an integral figure for the Swans ever since arriving from Stoke City in the summer of 2023, and he added his 15th assist when his cross allowed Goncalo Franco to fire home an unstoppable volley and bring the visitors back on level terms at Ewood Park.

Swansea went on to claim victory thanks to Liam Cullen’s strike to make sure Tymon’s landmark outing ended with a win.

“It tells you everything about Tymo that 15 minutes before kick-off we were not sure if he would play as he had opened up his knee, but he played,” said head coach Sheehan.

“He is a wonderful professional, he shows up every day. We have an excellent relationship, we talk about a lot of things.

“He is somebody who wants to get better all the time, going forward he has exceptional quality.

“Reaching 100 games shows what a good professional he is and how consistent he is.”
