Alan Sheehan hails "outstanding" Lawrence Vigouroux after senior international bow

Alan Sheehan has congratulated “outstanding” Lawrence Vigouroux after the Swansea City goalkeeper made his senior international bow for Chile.
The 31-year-old started the World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Uruguay, having been involved in the national set-up either at youth or senior level for over a decade.
Vigouroux kept a clean sheet in the clash with Uruguay as the sides played out a goalless draw, while Chile suffered a 3-0 defeat against the five-time World Cup winners.
And Swans boss Sheehan could not be happier for his keeper.
“Lawrence is back and he has had an eventful few weeks away, making his debut against Brazil and they playing against Uruguay,” said Sheehan.
“He is back in the building and he deservedly got his cap.
“Vigs has been outstanding for us and he thoroughly deserves it. He is a wonderful character.
“He is the sort of person who you hear before you see, but he is a really integral part of everything we do here.”
