Alan Sheehan praises Ethan Galbraith's start to life with Swansea City
Alan Sheehan has praised Ethan Galbraith’s on and off-field approach following the midfielder’s strong start to life at Swansea City, and says it will be important to manage the Northern Ireland international’s workload over a gruelling Championship season.
Galbraith joined the Swans from Leyton Orient over the summer and has been an eye-catching performer during the opening weeks of the season for club and country.
The 24-year-old has featured in every game for Swansea and Northern Ireland so far this season, and has won a number of plaudits for his showings as he steps up to Championship level.
And head coach Sheehan believes it will be important to make sure the Manchester United academy product is looked after and kept fresh in order to allow him to continue to perform at such a high level.
“Ethan is an outstanding player, he is somebody who has come in and been excellent for us,” he said.

“He has taken on how we play and how we want to do things, and he’s somebody who wants to get better all the time.
“Obviously he had an extended season last year with the play-off final and he has come in and played nearly every minute of every game, and we just felt at the end of the last block that he was just a little bit fatigued.
“He played all the international games and it’s one to keep an eye on because we want to make sure he can kind of reset and be able to continue to show his top levels.
“I’ve high hopes for a lot of the players we have brought in and he is definitely one of them. Our recruitment team picked him out a long time ago, he was somebody that has been on the radar, he has come in, he can player a number of positions and is an absolute diamond of a lad.
“He’s wonderful for the culture we are building and he’s made a real impact here.”
