Alan Sheehan | We want to improve our consistency within games

Head coach Alan Sheehan wants his Swansea City to improve their level of consistency in games as they prepare to host Queens Park Rangers tonight (7.45pm).
The Swans host the Rs on the back of a draw at Southampton on Saturday, in a game where Sheehan acknowledged his side had not been as effective with the ball as he or they would have liked.
With 10 games in the books in the Championship this season, there have been plenty of positives for the Swans, who could easily have had a few more points on the board.
But Sheehan says he and the group will always be looking for ways to improve over the course of a long season.
“In terms of level of performance, I think we still need to get to a place where we're more consistent in games and we want to create more chances,” he said.
“We want to attack better and obviously keep that defensive unit intact. There's a lot of areas to improve on while still being in a half-decent position in the table.
“Even if we were sitting fourth or fifth in the table, we would still want to get better. This is a marathon of a league where games come at you thick and fast.
“I think you can take confidence when you are not at your best but you are able to go to a place like St Mary’s and come away with something.
“But ultimately we want to improve the level of performance, we had obviously a chat with the players we spoke about everything like we always do and we've got everybody back in the building.
“We know what we want to do moving forward and there are a number of areas we want to improve on from the game at the weekend.”
