AWAY DAYS: Aston Villa travel information

23rd October

Aston Villa v Swansea City

Saturday, October 24 (3pm kick-off)

Address: Villa Park, Trinity Road, Birmingham B6 6HE

Telephone: 0121 327 2299

Website: www.avfc.co.uk

What's it like? Over 2,200 away fans will be seated in both tiers of the Doug Ellis Stand at Villa Park, which is situated on the side of the pitch.

There's a varied choice of food on sale while TVs on the concourse show past encounters between the two sides.

The trip to Villa is the second-closest away game for the Swans in the Premier League. Close rivals West Brom are a slightly shorter journey for Garry Monk's side.

Pubs and grub: There are a number of pubs around Villa Park but most of which are for members only.

'The Witton Arms' (B6 6SN) charges £3 for entry, with half of the pub specifically for away fans (with a separate entrance). The Witton Arms is approximately a two-minute walk from the away entrance on Witton Island.

Meanwhile, the 'Yew Tree' pub (B6 7AS) is roughly a 15-minute walk from the ground and costs £1 to enter.

The 'Ruskin Hall Social Club'(B6 5HP) - a ten-minute walk from Villa Park -  costs £1 to enter while a burger van and BBQ in the car park is present in the car park.

Parking: Parking around the ground is mostly street parking, but please do be wary of residents-only parking around the Witton roundabout area.

By train: Aston or Witton Stations are approximately a 15-minute trip from Birmingham New Street.

Witton is nearer the away end - just a five-minute walk away, while Aston Station is a ten-minute walk from the ground. On match days, extra trains are put on to supply the demand.

Trains leave Swansea at 07.28am, 07.58am, 08.28am, 09.28am and 10.28am for the three-hour and 40-minute journey to Witton. Coming back to Swansea, the 5.17pm, 6.17pm and 6.47pm take three hours and 33 minutes.
