AWAY DAYS: Norwich travel information

6th November

Norwich City v Swansea City

Saturday, November 7 (3pm kick-off)

Address: Carrow Road, Norwich, NR1 1JE

Telephone: 01603 760760

Website:www.canaries.co.uk

What's it like? Swans supporters will be situated in the South Stand - at the side of the pitch, rather than behind the goal like at most grounds.
Built in 2004, the facilities and view of the pitch at Carrow Road are good. If you sit at the very back of this stand you get views across the city, including Norwich Cathedral.
Pubs and grub - There are a few pubs between the train station and the ground.
Most away fans go for food and drink at the 'Compleat Angler' (NR1 1NS), which is located by the river opposite the train station (ten-minute walk to the ground). It has an outside terrace, as well screens showing Sky & BT Sports, so the Bournemouth v Newcastle game at 12.45pm and Stoke v Chelsea match at 5.30pm should be shown.
Not far away from the ground and towards the city centre is a leisure complex called the Riverside, which has plenty of eating and drinking spots to choose from.
'The Coach and Horses' (NR1 1BA) - on Thorpe Road - is a ten-minute walk from the ground. They brew their own beer and over the winter sell mulled cider.
Parking - Away fans are advised to park in Norfolk County Hall (NR1 2DH) for a quick getaway after the game, as long as they park up early. The car park has 2,000 spaces.
By train - The ground is a ten-minute walk from Norwich train station. From the station, turn left and head for Morrisons - you'll see the ground behind the supermarket.
Trains leave Swansea at 4.25am, 5.30am and 6.28am for the seven-and-a-half hour trip. The tube is needed between Paddington and Liverpool Street (and vice versa). The only train back is 6pm, getting into Swansea at 1.10am.
