Baker-Richardson delighted with Swans debut

Courtney Baker-Richardson feels he has more to offer Swansea City’s young guns this season after helping the under-21s to victory over Cheltenham Town in the Checkatrade Trophy this week.

The 21-year-old made the switch from National League North side Leamington FC on Monday before going straight into the squad for Tuesday’s game.

The striker came off the bench to provide the cross that helped Aaron Lewis net the winner at the LCI Rail Stadium.

“I am very happy with my debut,” said Baker-Richardson. “I felt I could make an impact going into the game so I was pleased I could help the team pick up the win.

“I know what I am about and I just want to prove that to people on the pitch. I have pace, I am hungry and aggressive and like to throw myself around.

“I am pleased to have made my Swans debut and I feel there will be more to come from me this season.”
