Ben Cabango has urged Swansea City to end the season on a high when they host Millwall at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday.

The Swans host the Lions on the back of a four-match unbeaten run, having picked up three wins and a draw from that sequence.

Last Saturday saw them emerge with a point from an entertaining 2-2 draw at Carrow Road, with Jamie Paterson and captain Matt Grimes on the scoresheet as the latter made his 300th appearance for the club.

At the other end Cabango produced a stand-out display, making countless blocks and clearances as Luke Williams’ side denied the play-off chasing Canaries three points to boost their top-six aspirations.

While the 2023-24 season has proved a challenging one, Cabango sees reason for encouragement, and wants Swansea to make sure they round things off in the right fashion.

“We go into the final game with one thing on our mind, to put on another good performance and come away with the three points,” he said.

“This little run has been really positive for us, we have shown we are motivated to play well and put a performance on for ourselves and for the fans.

“We have played a Norwich team who are going for the play-offs, and to go there and play the way we did offers encouragement ahead of next season.

“They are a very good team, we have been in good form ourselves and we wanted to go toe to toe with them.

“I think we did that, in the second half we had chances where we could have won the game, so there is plenty to take from how we played.

“They scored two goals of a real high quality, but we threw our bodies on the line, we dug in and made the blocks when we had to and got that point.”
