Ben Cabango | We can take full confidence from home form
Ben Cabango says Swansea City can take confidence from their positive home form as Vitor Matos' side made it seven unbeaten following victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
Goncalo Franco had finished off a flowing team move to open the scoring in the first half for his fourth goal of the season.
A Zan Vipotnik thunderous free-kick, quickly followed by a smart finish from a swift Swansea attack, before Malick Yalcouye rounded off the scoring by finding the far corner after cutting inside onto his left foot.
The result means the Swans move to within five points of the top six and have taken 19 points from the last 21 available in SA1. They also have eight wins from their last 13 league games, with this being a ninth clean sheet of the campaign.
"It was a really good game, it was always going to be a tough test. I think we started with full of energy and we were winning all the duels which put us in a good position," said Cabango.
"To score four goals and get a clean sheet is a perfect performance.
"We're going into every home game with full confidence, and you could hear the crowd today, full of expectation and knowing how well we're playing at home, they were right behind us.
"We thrive off that, which is a great thing and we need to carry on this home form now."
The Swans next make the trip to face the Rams at Pride Park this Saturday, and the skipper is eager to emulate their home form on the road.
"We were all disappointed after the home fixture against Derby, and hopefully we go there with full confidence of this form and put things right," he added.
