Bersant Celina | We can move forward with confidence

Swansea City will take nothing for granted at Stoke, but Bersant Celina says Steve Cooper’s side head to the Potteries in confident mood this weekend.

The Swans win over Wigan was enough to put them back in the Championship play-off spots as a congested promotion race hots up with the final run-in in sight.

Stoke’s concerns lie at the other end of the table, but they have seen an upturn under Michael O’Neill.

And the Swans will not need reminding of how the Potters upset the form book by winning at the Liberty earlier in the season.

But, with just one defeat in their last eight league games, the morale in the camp is high ahead of the clash at the bet365 Stadium.

“We know they caused us trouble last time, so it won’t be an easy game,” said Celina.

“But we’re full of confidence and, hopefully, we can go there and get the three points. I think the boys are ready.

“The goal is stay in and around the play-off places between now and the end of the season. I think we’re definitely good enough to stay there and hopefully, we will.

“As long as we keep creating chances, we’ll start to score more goals and maybe win games by more comfortable margins.”

New signings Rhian Brewster and Conor Gallagher will be looking to continue their bright starts to life at Swansea City, having recently sealed loan moves from Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

They combined for Swansea’s first goal against the Latics, and Celina has been impressed with the January acquisitions.

“It’s good to see them hit the ground running and make an impact straightaway,” he said of the pair.

“They both did very well, especially for our first goal. They both gave everything and played really well for us.”
